Initially, Falcon International arranged the booking to Montreal by rail. However, at the client’s request, and due to the challenges mentioned above, the shipment was diverted to Vancouver for trucking to Medicom’s premises in Pointe Claire.
Falcon International’s team quickly developed a plan to provide the best solution for Medicom, suggesting all viable options along with the most competitive rates available.
Once the client decided, we implemented the plan by coordinating and closely following up on every step of the delivery with all relevant parties, including agents, carriers at both origin and destination, warehouses, trucking companies, and brokers.
Both CargoWise and Falcon Flow were updated daily, or whenever changes occurred, and clients received regular updates along with written reports detailing the status of their cargo and its estimated arrival time (ETA). We also held weekly meetings with the client to discuss shipment status, any changes, and new requests. A manager was typically present in these meetings to ensure all commitments were upheld.
