U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will begin nationwide rejections of air cargo shipments with missing or invalid shipper and consignee information under the Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) program starting September 27.
To prepare for this change, CBP introduced updates to the CERT (testing) environment on July 28, along with a warning period to alert filers of non-compliant data. After this grace period, shipments that do not include valid shipper and consignee information will be rejected outright beginning on the effective date.
